The work in conjunction with the restoration and preservation of monuments and historic buildings has changed significantly. Today, the primary task is to establish a focused restoration concept. Close cooperation with experts in this field, but also with natural scientists and art historians is essential to find a specific concept and solution for the respective project.
It is the responsibility of our workshop to offer a broad range of techniques and processes that will cover all angles of the portfolio of restoration and preservation of historic buildings. We consider it interesting and encouraging that these various fields can be mutually beneficial. This work has provided numerous examples of synergy, for instance, the first lead free leaded glass, which was initiated in the course of a restoration and preservation project as part of a complete glass pane doubling process.
